hoarding and clutter

My battle with clutter and hoarding

I have a problem with clutter, with which I have struggled all of my life.  I cannot remember ever living in a house that was not cluttered.  For 15 years, I have been attempting to address it in fits and starts. I remember when I was about 10 or 11, my father complained that there was never a clean flat surface in the house.  I can only seem to keep any surface clean for a few hours at a time. Where have I been

Where have I been?

Wow, it has been silent here for a while hasn’t it?  We have had a very crazy February here at our house.  I have been struggling with feeling helpless and hopeless for the last few weeks, which is not a great motivator for me to write.  We have had snowstorm after snowstorm, with another one due to hit today.  We battled a stomach virus, with five of the six of us succumbing.  And my second oldest has moved back home.  That is a lot of upheaval for two weeks. Let’s join a (non-violent) riot!

My calendar organization {Thankful Thursday}

If you know me at all, you know I am not super organized, despite all my desire to be.  You also know that I have a ton of stuff to keep track of.  I am down to four kids still at home, but they are active, so I need some way to manage my time.  Today for Thankful Thursday I want to share my gratitude for Flylady’s calendar.  No, I do not receive anything for this post.  I just love this tool and want you to know about the freedom it has given me.
